Eligibility:
*Members must maintain the academic requirements necessary to participate in an extra-curriular activity set forth by the the ISHAA
*Members must have completed physical on file with the Athletic Department before tryouts.
*Cheerleaders will be selected based on academic eligibility, cheerleading abilities, apperance, enthusiasm, personality, responsibility, cooperation, and promptness.
*The cheerleading coaches, athletic department and administration reserve the right to refuse a try-out or position on any squad to any person for reasons of academic deficiencies or past performances with hindered the cheerleading program, the athletic department, or ECHS.
*Parent/student signature concerning evaluation criteria and the selection process.
*Three teacher evaluations
Requirements:
Varsity: 10-12th grade (no freshman will be considered for Varsity)
*Participation will be for the 2009 Fall athletic season
*All varsity members will cheear at all home and away varsity football games
*Members will be required to attend ALL practices as per scheduled
*Standing back handspring or Roundoff Back handpring ALONE.
*Members must maintain their required athletic abilities throught the season to maintain their position on the squad.
*Members will compete in int he 4-H Fair competition on July 17th, 2009
Junior Varsity: 9-11th grade
*Participation will be for the 2008 Fall athletic season
*All varsity members will cheear at all home and away Junior Varsity football games
*Members will be required to attend ALL practices as per scheduled
*Standing back handspring or round off back handpring ALONE or with light spot.
*Members must maintain their required athletic abilities throught the season to maintain their position on the squad.
*Some members may compete in the 4-H Fair competition on July 17th, 2009.
Freshman: 9th Grade only
*Participation will be for the 2009 Fall athletic season
*All varsity members will cheear at all home and away freshman football games
*Members will be required to attend ALL practices as per scheduled
*No tumbling required but recommended.
*Members must maintain their required athletic abilities throught the season to maintain their position on the squad.
Tentative Summer Schedule:
*Beginning in May--Tuesday/Thursday Tumbling/Dance/Cheer (not required)
Dates you can schedule vacations! :)
First two weeks in June, last week in July, and first week of August.
We have listed four full weeks this summer the girls will have off. Please work with this schedule for this upcoming season.
