Elkhart Central is a member of the Indiana High School Athletic Association

and the Northern Indiana Conference. With aprox. 1800 students, we are

classified as a 5A school for football tournament pairings, and 4A for other

state tournament competition. Elkhart Central offers competition in 21 sport

activities. Within these 21 activities there are 21 varsity teams, 21 junior

varsity teams, and 6 freshman teams for competition.

Catherine Wolf Award The Catherine Wolf Award is presented to the outstanding senior female athlete in the Elkhart Community Schools and is chosen by a Selection Committee based on the rules and purposes established for this award which is hereby established and will be continued by a Selection Committee under the direction of the Elkhart Community Schools and the Elkhart Truth.
