Girls Gymnastics

Head coach: Kathy Krauter

High school gymnastics is a competitive team sport. Most girls who come to the high school program have participated in club gymnastics and have competed in meets as a young girl. The program is a great venue for teenage girls to advance their skills and learn how to compete as a team. The goal of coach Kathy Krauter is to teach her athletes how to be smart gymnasts. Because the life span of a gymnast is short, high school gymnasts, especially juniors and seniors, learn how to use more efficient training techniques to cope with the natural changes in their bodies and to minimize the risk of injuries that are common in older gymnasts. High school gymnastics requires many hours in the gym practicing skills and routines in order to prepare for competition.
